I think I have a broken water line outside the house. How can I be sure?
You may have a broken water line in you notice puddles of standing water in or around your yard or if you hear running water when there should be no water running. If you have an unusually high water bill for no understandable reason, you may have a broken pipe outside.

Why do I have low water pressure? Is there anything I can do about it?
Low water pressure can happen for several reasons. It is possible that your shut off valve is partially closed or malfunctioning; You may have a crimped water line; If your pipes are older, you may have deposits gathered in them. However, ask you neighbors how their water pressure is. If they say theirs is fine, there is likely a problem somewhere between the your home and your water meter. There is a disgusting smell in our house. Is it from the sewer?
There are curved pipes in most homes called "p-traps." They are filled with water in order to cover and reduced sewer gas. If the water in the p-trap evaporates, possibly due to lack of use, you will get those sewer gases coming into your home. This is the most common cause. Run water to all drains to eliminate the problem. If the smell persists, it may be time to call on of our experienced technicians to come out to diagnose the problem.
